While better information and market intelligence are fundamental to achieving equilibrium between the risk/return for investors and cost/benefit for firms, an inhospitable enabling environment will drive the cost of capital beyond the reach of many entrepreneurs.

M&AMG counters this problem by partnering with additional sources of grants and technical assistance who wish to support entrepreneurial development in emerging markets as part of their coordinated support for social, political, and economic growth of target countries. Institutions such as the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) can offer access to capital priced below prevailing rates; Foundations and donor institutions can offer technical support as well as often providing direct grants to smaller firms in our target industries’ value-chain to promote a broader impact of economic growth within an economy and which directly support the firms in which we invest. Once potential deals have been identified and packaged by the firm, they will be targeted at the most appropriate investors for the deal. M&AMG will combine financial, strategic and donor resources to complement the core competencies of the individual business model to maximize the financial success of the business venture and its ability to act as a showcase for other similar investments in a given sector.
